  important.   his new identity, provided by the bsaa, was adrien caleb hart. the only people that continued to call him ethan after roughly november 2017, was mia, chris, zoe, ( leon too in some verses ) and his personal case manager. everyone else knew him as adrien.  extra note.     post-village, ethan has a mechanical soldat heart, hidden by the heisenberg crest embedded in his chest - as seen here.  another note.     in most post-village verses, ethan will be reborn from the black god and now is the soul sovereign of both eveline' and miranda's hives. he can access the memories and powers of all those absorbed and gifted by the black god and due to this, his memories have been lost and his personality has been corrupted due to all the others minds in his brain. another note.  plant life is constantly bursting around him while at the same time, animals get sick & die due to the molds spores. anyone that hangs around with ethan needs to have had either a novel-virus vaccine with frequent ( probably once every 12-24 mons ) boosters or have on hand an injection of the e-necrotoxin.

  brief summary.     YOU DON'T GET TO DIE and be reborn the same. you come back, but you come back WRONG. this is the price you pay for resurrection. what you already know: that there is no way out of this hearse, not even through the window. that there is no way out of your dead body, not even through your eyes.

  brief summary.     ethan was formally a systems engineer for a natural energy company before he became part-time after the ' death ' of his wife, mia winters. ethan spent 2014-2017 trying to find out what actually happened to mia after she went missing on a cruiseline. this lead him to dulvey louisiana where he was exposed to a bioweapon codenamed ' eveline '. eveline controlled a type of black mold and mia had been her handler. wanting ethan to be her father, she refused to allow him to leave, feeding him into her mold mass called a megamycete. during this moment, eveline shifted her consciousness and that of her colony hivemind into ethan as her physical body was deteriorating too quickly.ethan was rescued by chris redfield and both winters were handed over to the bsaa to cure and protect them from mia's former employers the connections.the winters were relocated to romanian and given new identities.in early 2021, chris led a small group to assault the home in order to remove a bioweapon named miranda who had taken on the visage of mia, as well as ethan and his daughter, rose. unfortunately, miranda escaped with rose and severed her body in order to rebirth rose as miranda's century-dead child eva, who eveline was originally meant to be a vessel for.in the end, ethan's heart was ripped from his body, causing catastrophic damage to his body, triggering multiple organ failure that results in his sacrificing himself to get rose to chris and allow them to escape before miranda's megamycete, the mother strain of eveline's mold, could reclaim the child.

TIME
LINES.

  PAGE NOTE,  PLEASE READ.     unless otherwise requested or specified, default / main verse is as of 2021 post-village. a summary can be found here.

  canon: plain old ethan.   this is any thread before ethan gets the email that is sent from mia via eveline's influence. in this verse, ethan can be at any point in his life from high school all the way up to the night before he leaves for dulvey.this includes the few years ( 2014 - 2017 ) that will revolve around his wife being missing presumed dead and his search for her, including uncovering that she was not everything she said she was.  canon: dulvey, louisiana.     any time during the events of the game. searching for his wife mia, who has been missing and presumed dead for three years, ethan finds himself in dulvey, trapped in a nightmare and being hunted as prey by the corrupted baker family.this verse takes place during and very shortly after the events of re / biohazard 7. it adheres to the game's canon for the most part with some wiggle room.  canon-ish: post-dulvey, pre-village.   it includes quarantine after being rescued by blue umbrella, transfer over to the bsaa european branch, ethan's training and relocation to romania. this extends right up to the day before the events of village. while presumed dead, another pair of names in the thirty+ victims of a gas explosion in dulvey, adrien and remy hart officially move into a safe house located in the rural romanian countryside.special note: by all official and unofficial accounts, ethan and mia winters died in 2017. the only people that know them by their real names are high ranking bsaa ( e.g. chris redfield, jill valentine, etc. ), fellow survivor zoe baker and anyone still working in the connections and / or blue umbrella that was present during this operation. everyone else knows them by their new legal alias.  canon: village.   this is, of course, the canon timeline following the events of re village. everything remains the same, ethan kills all the lords, gathers up the rose flasks, dies, returns, kills miranda, hands rose off to chris and sacrifices himself.shortly after his death, he is entered into the megamycete, bringing with him all the memories and souls of the mutamycete from dulvey and functions, more or less, like a god of the hivemind, however no longer has a physical form.some wiggle room is given just like with the verse for 7.  post-canon.   this is a collaborative effort verse with @blitzkriegers that sees ethan taking karl's deal and helping him kill miranda but only after ethan himself is still killed. with karl's engineered generator working alongside the mold inside ethan's body, he is kept alive with no negative effects outside being a moldy boy and knowing it.he is able to save rose and is briefly reunited with mia, missing chris completely. fearing rose may be effected negatively by being near the megamycete, ethan sends rose off with mia and zoe, hoping to find a way to kill it without killing himself or rose-- oh and karl. ethan has accidently caught feelings for this man that handcrafted him a beautiful new heart.special note: in this verse, to all outsiders, ethan winters still died in dulvey in 2017 and as far as anyone keeping tabs on him through official channels, he has inexplicably gone missing. after some bsaa agents are killed by him in a scuffle, there is a BOLO for him: ethan winters / adrien hart is CONSIDERED HOSTILE. A DANGER TO HIMSELF AND OTHERS, DO NOT APPROACH. any official member of the bsaa or their affiliates are advised to call in any encounters or witness him as he is believed to be under the sway of the mold.

  canon: shadows of rose.     this primarily focuses on the timeline of the village dlc shadows of rose, where ethan uses the alias of michael, a warrior saint and heavenly prince second only to god. he appears to rose just as he did upon his body's death, aside from regrowing his lost fingers. as the prophet of the megamycete, he can enter into any sub stratum within the hive, locating anyone he needs to and has his own set of powers as well as several sanctuaries he has built up that only can be accessed by those he pulls into it.special note: this will be extended on to encompass the timeline before and after the events of shadows of rose. this is the follow up to ethan's physical death in game to and following the events of the dlc. before he is able to meet with rose in the hive, he can only gain access to her subconscious feed via her dreams but due to medication she is on, he cannot locate where she is in the world or appear to her like he does in the dlc. afterwards, he is able to find her through the hyphae of the hive easily.

  private: religious horror.     this is a special, reserved verse that is private and by invitation only.it follows the events of re / biohazard 7 but leaves ethan will a nagging feeling that he is being dragged towards something. he does not realize it is eveline within him striving to return to the megamycete as she has come to know that she is a child seeking her source.after the initial events of re village, ethan does not first run into karl and is dragged into the family meeting in the church, but runs in a different direction through the woods, stumbling down the slick, iced landslide of the mountain and falls into the cavern of the black god. driven by eveline's curiosity and his own thunderstruck awe, he wades into the mirrored pool of ichor below the megamycete and is accepted as the true prophet. unlike miranda, a human that became directly infected by the megamycete, ethan is seen as the true successor, housing eveline and her hive within his body.he is gifted all the knowledge of both hives and shortly after stumbling out of the cave, has a brief run in with the duke, who was the prophet over the other, dead megamycete growing through the hidden tomb of the dead. adapting a look much like miranda's ethan becomes known as father winters or the deacon, by the people. they see him as a divine figure, a priest chosen by their god to serve under miranda. special note: in this verse, the villagers are not all killed as miranda only had enough time to crystalize rose before she sensed ethan stumbling into the cavern of the megamycete.all the lords are still alive, entrusted with the flasks to keep ethan from collecting and piecing his daughter back together. miranda is unable to complete her ceremony because ethan has the true blessings of the black god, therefore, he could stem the flow of the memories and keep her from collecting eva to place inside rose's body. it is an unfortunate stalemate in which neither can act without jeopardizing the fate of their daughter.  private: human au.   this is a general " human au " type thread in which he works as an electrical engineer and is called upon to help set up internet in the compound which mother miranda runs a modern day cult. he is unaware of the status of the job and is roped into being an inside man by the fbi, who need evidence of abuse going on before they can storm the compound.ethan reluctantly agrees to go in and is unfortunate enough to run into karl first, who immediately sees through his poorly constructed cover story. they agree to work together as karl would love nothing more than to see his mother's god-like status pulled out from beneath her. as a way to keep him in the compound much longer than a job could afford, they decide to pose as intimate partners so ethan can attend family meetings and holidays to gather the evidence he needs in exchange for karl being spared when the government eventually cracks down on the cult.
